30 Day Photography Challenge - Day 3 Finally!

Pastel Fun

I don't have my laptop with all my photos with me

and I haven't downloaded any of the latest

30 Day Photography Challenge pics from my camera (very bad), 

but I felt like creating something anyway. So I downloaded some 

free stock images and created my very own

background in Photoshop for today. 

I'm really loving the pastel colour combo's at the

moment. I do also know that next week I'll be loving a 

different colour combo, but let's enjoy the 

pastel moment while it lasts! ;-)

*Metallic Macro Magic*

For the 30 Day Photography Challenge I needed to take a picture of something green for Day 4. So I went to the shop, thought about it a bit and bought a Green Bell Pepper to photograph. Got home, set up my lamp and table and the background and props I wanted to use and started taking pictures, using the Macro Lens I'm borrowing from my mother-in-law. After about 15 photos I realised this wasn't going to work for me at all, nothing looked right, so I added some peacock feathers to the little scene to try and set a better background for this Green Pepper. And in the end, the Green Pepper never even featured in Day 4's entry because I discovered this magical world of metallic colours, hidden away in these beautiful feathers. I couldn't help but smile when I opened these photographs on my computer, I just love the effect and the colours and everything about it. Hope you guys enjoy!!!

30 Day Photography Challenge - Day 4, 5, 6 & 7

Ok, this drives me insane, but I'm skipping Day 3. The theme for Day 3 is Clouds and I promise you since Thursday (which was Day 2) there hasn't been a cloud in the sky. And I really don't want to cheat and go get a picture of clouds that I took a month ago or make clouds in Photoshop and post that. So when the clouds appear back in the sky, I will take a picture and fill in the missing day of the challenge even though it is bugging me so much. But, in the meantime, here are Day 4 - 7's entries.

Inspire Me Monday - 6 May 2013

Wow! Where is this year going? I can't believe it is May already. I just realised as I typed the date for today's challenge in the subject bar we are almost halfway through 2013. 

Well, instead of designing or photographing something and posting my own work this week, I decided to post some very pretty DIY Lamp ideas I found on Pinterest this morning. I would love to try some of these myself, although I always say I want to try it and then never get around to actually doing it. I'm already so behind on the 30 Day Photography Challenge so I think I should rather concentrate on 1 thing at a time. I hope these will really inspire the Inspire Me Monday friends and participants and get all the creative thoughts flowing!!!
