Art Every Day Month Day 8: Better In Black & White

This is a combination of some of my favourite wildlife and landscape pictures 

that I've taken over the last year. I love monochrome images, they have 

so much drama and punch to them. 

These pics were taken in many different parks and reserves in our country, 

from Brits to the Kruger National Park to the Golden Gate Highlands National Park 

to Rietvlei Dam Nature Reserve. 

We are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful country 

with gorgeous landscapes and wildlife right at our fingertips.

moved and left the ghost image of her little face behind.

Art Every Day Month Day 7: Purple Rain

These are pictures I took and quickly edited this morning of a Jacaranda Tree 

in my mom's front garden.

It's Jacaranda season in South Africa. 

From about middle September to around end November, Pretoria (the Jacaranda City) is covered in a purple haze and the streets are a purple carpet from all the flowers. 

It is absolutely beautiful.

Art Every Day Month Day 6: Spring In My Heart

This is one of the things that really gets me inspired, spring flowers! 

And what an abundance of spring flowers did I find in this little spot at a gorgeous 

nursery farm in Magoebaskloof, South Africa. The old wooden bridge just added

to complete the picture. These pics make me want to pack my picnic basket and

go laze around here for hours. What about you?

Creative Every Day Month Day 5: Light The Way

I took this photo one very cold, wet, misty morning in Magoebaskloof, South Africa. 

What a beautiful part of our country. 

Many mornings, doesn't matter which season, will be misty like this in the area which makes it such a special place. 

Matric Farewell Portraits

I never thought that I would like taking pictures of people as much as I do! 

I really always thought that I'd stick to animals, I am much more an animal person

than a people's person. But wow, I'm really enjoying this portrait photography

idea. The more I do it, the more inspired I get.

Think I only have about 7 or so photos to go to complete this challenge.

I hate starting something and not finishing! I might want to do this challenge

again some day and actually do it properly, on the days it is supposed to be done,

*Neon Love Landscapes*

I discovered a new technique whilst editing pics for the 30 Day Photography Challenge, and I might be just as obsessed with this as I am with 

converting my images to monochrome!

I really like the bright colours that I end up 

with in these pics and it's a little bit addictive, because you

can't predict what's going to happen with an image before you are

actually done with it. Each image holds it's own little surprises! 

These images won't pass for brilliant in technical photography terms, 

but they are very striking and unique in their own way.

Monochrome Obsession
